It grows west of the Sierra Nevada from Mendocino County, California, south to northern Baja California in Mexico. Absolutely stunning swirls and coloration. Solid and sturdy.

California Sycamore: Platanus Racemosa is a hearty local southern California native that dominates the wet riparian areas of coastal streams and riverbeds. The wood is light in color and the grain pattern is highly prized, especially for instruments.

Pine species including, but not limited to: Jeffrey Pine (Pinus Jeffreyi), Sugar Pine (Pinus Lambertiana), and various white and yellow pine species. Generally light in coloration with small, but distinct knotholes. Softwood, but sturdy and unique.
